NS M99 heads west toward Birmingham on the former Central of Georgia. Lead unit UP 4174 was built in June of 2000, making it less than a year old when this picture was taken. This was the first shot I took of a UP SD70M, but many more opportunities would come in the future as they were part of a large order. I also recall this chase as the first time I crossed paths with Casey Thomason, who was the engineer.
