It's early in the evening and excitement is in the air in downtown San Francisco. MUNI Cable Car 24, having just descended the steep grade off Nob Hill, prepares to make a quick flag stop in front of the landmark Sir Francis Drake Hotel at #450 Powell Street. Note the hotel doorman, dressed in red Beefeater getup, helping to place visitors in a waiting taxi cab.
