Ever-reliable 'Black 5' No.45407 is seen on former Midland Railway metals, crossing the attractive 3-arch stone bridge over the River Aire at Gargrave. She is hauling 'The Waverley' on a Sunday excursion from York to Carlisle and will pause at Hellifield station before bearing right at Settle Junction. She will then head for Carlisle over the Settle & Carlisle route, returning this evening, arriving at York after dusk. Photograph taken from private land by permission.
