Southbound Amtrak #11 charges uphill towards Cascade Summit, OR, at Wicopee. It had just had to come to a stop one siding back at Heather in order for the crew to restart a shutdown trailing unit due to an overheating condition. I'm sure they are wondering here if they will make it to the top of the grade, still 24 miles up the 1.8% grade.
