| South Africa’s first purpose-built rapid transit system commenced operations on 8th June 2010, just in time for the soccer World Cup which opened on 11th June. One of the 4-car Electrostar trainsets is seen racing past Kelvin Power Station towards O.R.Tambo International Airport on the first morning of public service. |
