| Prior to the opening of the impossible to photograph Dulles Airport Aerotrain (impossible due to glass walls and doors between the platform and track), the airport authority displayed a dummy version of the Mitsubishi Heavy Industries Crystal Mover people mover cars that would make up the trains. AeroTrain opened its initial 3.78 mile system about a year and a half later. It mostly replaced the mobile lounges that transported passengers from the concourses to the Main Terminal. |
