| A new day is dawning as a Gautrain Electrostar EMU comes to a stop at the OR Tambo International Airport station at 06:16, less than an hour after the start of public service between Sandton and the airport. Eleven thousand people reportedly used the service on its first day of operation, just 3 days before the start of the 2010 Soccer World Cup. Commuter rail transport in South Africa will never be the same again. |
