Remarks & Notes

After transferring passengers from the Trans Harz Express, this train is about to attack the 3.3% grade towards the Brocken, the highest mountain in Northern Germany. The Harz Narrow Gauge Railways owns 25 steam locomotive, 17 of which are identical to this one. More than 15 are operational, and daily 7+ are fired up and running.
