Dakota & Iowa's northbound Ethanol local has just crossed the Big Sioux River which marks the border between South Dakota and Iowa. A rare sight this day is three of the road's small GPs: two GP9s trailed by a GP20. All three are former BN locomotives. For the past few years the small GPs have been relegated to yard service at Dell Rapids, Hawarden, and Sioux City.
