For my money, the best-looking switcher in America ... truly a "heritage" locomotive. CIRY 1206, inspired by CB&Q's working man's paint scheme (for the record, I liked the Chinese Red equally), sits in the bright sunshine in its diminutive yard southwest of downtown Chicago. Many thanks to CIRY for leaving the gate open so I could take these shots from the sidewalk of Cermak St.
Not
just heritage schemes, not just commemorative schemes - this album is devoted to some of the world's most interesting paint schemes, past or present.
