Remarks & Notes

Westbound empty hopper train 501 crosses the 428-foot bridge over the Coneamugh River. The park in the foreground honors the 2,209 victims of the 1889 Johnstown Flood. The 40 MPH wave of water and debris hit this bridge which survived the onslaught.
