| The farmlands of the “Swartland” (the black country - named for the colour of its rich soil) stretch all the way to the horizon in this panoramic view from the N7 highway, providing a beautiful setting for the daily weekday freight from Malmesbury to the PPC cement factory at De Hoek. The train is nearing the summit of the climb from Rust station, before dropping downgrade to the town of Moorreesburg. |
