LaGrange at Christmas! Locomotives as far as the light carries dominate E. Main St. in this view of an eastbound led by photogenic C40-8W 7876 idling past the clock tower at 00:56. Freights are very dramatic at night to watch and hear in this CSX "quiet zone". With no air horns at crossings the surrounding buildings amplify the idling prime movers adding to the larger than life impression the power leaves in slowly passing by at ten mph.
