To facilitate a meet at Hawarden, this empty stone train has pulled up the former C&NW branch to Beresford, SD, to clear of the main line so that the ethanol local can head for Sioux City. The train of 25 empty mill gons is powered by D&I's pair of former Southern Pacific SD39s.
