Metro-North's new direct service from New Haven to New Jersey's Meadowlands commenced on September 20; three trains each way will run for each Sunday 1 p.m. Giants and Jets game. NJ Transit equipment is used, as the current Metro-North fleet of MUs is incompatible with the electric system once the trains leave Metro-North property at New Rochelle. This is the third train on the first day of service, headed for the Jets vs. Patriots game (the Jets won).
