| Today's "short leg" UP844 Steam trip over the ex-SP "Cal-P" route into the Bay Area took it West from Roseville for a distance of 104 miles. Rather than battle nasty WB-80 traffic out of Roseville, I decided to instead start the day's fast paced chase in Sacramento - birthplace of the SP (CPRR).
