| There are no regularly scheduled passenger trains south of Anchorage on the ARR during the winter months. However the occasional charter does offer a chance to reprise some summer scenes in vastly different environment. The little five car train is scurrying north through the stunning valley at Girdwood. The snowcapped Chugach Mountains beyond are home to the challenging slopes of the Aleyeska Ski Resort. Click Here for a summertime view at this same location.
