| Yesterday's blizzard has cleared the area, leaving behind over a foot of fresh snow that was driven to massive drifts by 30MPH winds all day. Even today, the temperature didn't make it above zero and the windchills were -35F. After dropping off three engines in Cass Lake to run light power back to Grand Rapids... the M-SUPGFD is on the move again as they pass a section crew that is waiting to clear the crossing. Unfortunately the snow busting wasn't as impressive as it could have been because the truck rolled through earlier and cleared a path. One of the snowmobilers is rolling on the highway and the other takes a moment to watch the train bust through the crossing. |
