| There is no doubting the heritage of this route as the modern GE drops down Low Hill about 55 miles from the end of its Oakland to Salt Lake City journey. The bridge passes over a little used road that has long since been supplanted by Interstate 80 just to the south. Thanks to Jim Belmont for showing me this spot over two years ago on a tour of the east end of the old WP....I can't believe I remembered it! |
