Remarks & Notes |
Arguably the most interesting location along UTA's TRAX system in the Salt Lake Valley is the University Line junction at 4th South and Main Street. In this view, University train 34, lead by two Bombardier/UTDC cars acquired second hand from the Santa Clara Valley Transportation Authority curve eastward onto the U Line. This location is technically half a 'grand union' where two tracks join two tracks with switches for movement in all directions offering maximum flexibility of operation. The large gray structure at left is the Frank E. Moss Federal Courthouse, and at right a street level cafe in the historic New Grand Hotel. |
