Nevada Northern's Engine House Queen. Most steam enthusiasts are familiar with NN's two operating steamers, but tucked away in the back of the engine house, there is yet a third engine that is seldom seen. Consolidation #81 is a 178,000 lb Baldwin that was built for NN back in 1917 as an ore hauler. The stoker-equipped engine has not run in many years and is on the Nevada Northern Museum's list of equipment they would like to restore to operation. Fortunately, she's spent the some of those years indoors and has been relatively well cared for.
