The Milwaukee Road steel gang is headed west to perform some needed trackwork on the Chicago-Kansas City mainline around Ottumwa, IA in the spring of 1984. On this beautiful Sunday afternoon MILW 360 and 350 have 48 cars made up tank cars, bunk cars and track equipment on flatcars. The lead GP38-2 is about to hit the east switch of the siding at Genoa. It used to extend down to New Lebanon until the Soo Line shortened the siding in 1989.
