Busy at the tram stops. There is a constnt stream of trams through Central throughout the day. Hong Kong has the largest fleet of double deck trams in the world with 163 vehicles. The only two other operators of the type are Blackpool (UK) and Alexandria (Egypt). Although very old fashioned looking, almost all the fleet was rebodied in the early 1990s. They currently carry about 250,000 pasengers a day on the 8 mile, 3'6" gauge (1067 mm) system.
