Often regarded as photographic impediments, the quaint pole lines that paralleled every route are now an aesthetically endangered species amidst the increasingly uniform railroad earth. Here an eastbound BNSF manifest crests the Continental Divide at Gonzales Road crossing on another sunny New Mexico morning.
