CRANDIC 114 (ex-SP 6338, an NRE rebuild) lumbers along 9th Avenue in Cedar Rapids with a yard transfer drag in 2003. CRANDIC is a former interurban shortline operating more than 100 miles of trackage and handling more than 90,000 carloads of traffic yearly. The Crandic has since sold its four GP35Ms, and this particular unit left the property in late 2006. The geeps were replaced by secondhand SW1500s and MP15DCs.(www.crandic.com)
