Remarks & Notes

Road slug 9723 was built by NS at Roanoke Shops and configured to mate with certain ex-NW GP40s. The 9700 series slugs were later renumbered into the 900s to accomodate the bombardment of D9-40CWs that would eventually go as high as the 9900s.
