Returning from Santa Paula, a Fillmore & Western Santa Paula Express heads over the 1902 open truss Sespe Creek Bridge in honor of Santa Clara River Valley Railroad Historical Society's Railfest 2006 of the Heritage Valley. Earlier, the engineer on this run (a younger guy with a great sense of humor) had seen me shooting the train, and he blew carbon out of the stacks, making the GP30 look like an ALCO. GP30 #3003 was first delivered to the Chesapeake & Ohio as #3026 in September 1963. It went on to become CSXT #4220, then Ohio Central #4220, then Arizona & California #3003, before joining the Fillmore & Western.
