Remarks & Notes

Amtrak's E units did not last long on Donner Pass. They were not liked by SP crews or shop personnel. E8 #326 (formerly UP 929A) is pulling out of the East end of the long wooden snow shed at Norden which once protected the #2 main track. The locomotive has been modified for this service, now sporting a snow plow and icicile breakers.
