Southbound empty grain train loops through tunnel two between Caliente and Bealville, CA beginning its assault on the Tehachapis. The horseshoe curve down at Caliente and tunnel 1 are in the upper left of this picture. This is the second of five horseshoe curves necessary to get heavy tonnage up the mountain to the high desert.
