New yard locomotives ... well, really not so new. These are 2000 horsepower MPI/EMD MP20GPs delivered to UP in 2006. They were converted from ex-retired, former Missouri Pacific GP50s 3502/3504 by MPI in Boise, and are equipped with Tier 2 compliance Caterpillar engines.
