I remember as a youngster in the early 1970s walking along these tracks when they were quite rusty and disused. It's not common that you can visit an abandoned stretch of track, and then 30 years later come back and see it in daily operation. That's the case here, and from what I saw the Grand Canyon Railway seems to have a quality operation.
