A heavy snowfall blankets the town of Tehachapi as BNSF Railway loaded coal train C-BARWSS0-03 passes the old passenger station. Shortly, this train, which originated in Barstow, will begin its descent down the mountain to the San Joaquin Valley, and then a snow-free run to Wasco, about 75 miles ahead.
This train is powered by BNSF Dash 9-44CWs 5341, 988 and 980, plus Union Pacific AC4400CW 6002 up front, and UP SD70M 3801 and BNSF Dash 9-44CWs 4672 and 647 on the rear.
