Once their ciment hoppers beings secured into one of the Matapédia’s siding, both ex-CPR MLW RS18s flies on the Mont-Joli sub, heading to Campbellton to change the second engine.

SFG RS18s 1865 and 1849 takes the wye at Matapédia to let some loaded ciment hoppers in the small CN yard near the station.

Once arrived at the Campbellton yard, CN 562's engines picked up cars bound for Mont-Joli as the new leader is CN 3050, here crossing the bridge at MP 5.2 at sunset.

CN train 562 continue its trip towards Campbellton as it approaches Matapédia, here along the river of the same name.

We made our way to Gaspéise by chasing CN local 562 (Mont-Joli to Campbellton, NB), here passing by the VIA Rail Amqui station in the Matapédia Valley, still active for the weekly Ocean service.
