One of NS's horrid, hideous, and repulsive SD60Es leads P97 into the yard. A nice treat was the Virginian heritage unit trailing second out.
In a meet behind the passenger station in Lynchburg southbound NS train P97, passes NS train 88M, which is sporting some CSXT power today.
Being able to see this train way off in the distance for about 5 minutes, I kept trying to figure out what was in the lead. By the way it looked I thought it was a high hood and then it got closer... (more)

Southbound NS 2502 rounds the bend across River Road headed toward the James River Trestle on a glorious autumn day.
A NS local with a lot of power (6 engines) heads south with a huge train.
NS P98 coasts by the smoothing gang just south of the signal at Raven. A friendly wave from the crew is always welcomed and the track supervisor is standing 2ft to my left.
