After years of local service around Waukegan, the last J geep is in charge on the old Long West as it stops traffic in downtown Plainfield on its journey from Spaulding to Joliet.
N21 heads north through Crest Hill with a pair of classic EJ&E SD38-2's.

HLCX SD40M-3 6519 waits for a signal to proceed over the Metra diamond so it can depart Joliet Yard.
The crew of EJ&E 670 gets back on after uncoupling from the rest of the train. It will head to the West Bridge Junction, cross over and return light to Joliet Yard.
