A derailment has been pushed aside to allow track reconstruction and the passage of Train 17, Super Chief / El Capitan led by two FP45’s at Ribera, N.M. Jan. 16, 1969.

The FP-45 and F-45 on Santa Fe’s Trn. 17 El Capitan / Super Chief needed a little assistance from SD-39 4008 on October 1, 1970 as the train passed Maxwell, N.M.
