Norfolk Southern train 203 (Rutherford, PA-Atlanta, GA intermodal) crosses the Potomac River from Maryland into West Virginia southbound on the Norfolk Southern Hagerstown District.

As evening progresses, NS 4052 peaks out of the curve partially obscured by trees as it leads the MNOEW through the heart of Dayton, Texas.

NS has recently added coal trains to the Shenandoah Valley circuit. It certainly has increased traffic and the railfanning opportunities!
