The Eritrean Railway Mallet 442 54 is shubting its freight train in the Massawa harbour.

We have met this small camel caravan on our way from Ghinda to Massawa. A small touch of "One Thousand and One Nights" just a few days before Christmas !!!

Today, the old lady (the Mallet has been built in 1898), has hauled the HSB Nostalgie Zug from Wernigerode up to the Brocken summit. Now it is back in the shed and is taking a well deserved rest.
