Still thinking about my first encounter with Nevada Northern SD7 No. 401 at Intermountain Power Service Corporation in Delta, Utah. A thing of beauty, 63 years young.

I wouldn't be surprised if this was one of the last SD7s in revenue service in the country.

Two SD7’s took a break from their hump duties at Union Pacific’s Bailey Yard at North Platte, Nebr. after the country’s largest yard had been opened not very long on March 21, 1969.

The main rail yard and locomotive and car shops are in Greenville. I caught this motive power sitting here. SD 7 455 with F7A 721 and some more SD's.
