The DPU of westbound coal empty is about to clear by the Kirkwood train station

A westbound Amtrak train arrives at the Kirkwood, Missouri, station on the afternoon of June 12, 1990.

CNW paint still rolls around the system quite a bit; this particular unit is a frequent visitor to the area. I decided to try to catch it in some favorable fall sun today.

A little fall color is starting to show around the area. The sunshine was enough to get me out briefly this morning to find this coal load topping the hill at Kirkwood.

UP Train CTSWE 05 passes Kirkwood Station on Main Track 2 of the UP Jefferson City Sub. as a couple phoamers take in the action from the platform.

Frisco, Burlington, and Chicago & Illinois Midland engines at the Museum of Transportation. 1621 was built by Baldwin in 1918, 9908 was built in 1939 by EMC, and 551 was built by Lima in 1928.
