This is the bell from Engine 382 that wrecked in Vaughan, Mississippi on April 29, 1900 with Casey Jones at the controls while trying to make up lost time on a run from Memphis to New Orleans.
Not far from my house the Kudzu has taken over the no longer used Cordova Branch of the CSX in Memphis and its former NC&StL track.
