Was expecting maybe M-320 to round the curve this morning... completely forgot about Amtrak
It took a while to get up to this spot, and I pretty much made it just in time, but I'm glad I did.
Had never gotten a shot of a train on this line before. You can see a hint of the MS River bridge and the Memphis Pyramid in the background.
This UP manifest had a brand new Ferromex GEVO trailing. Quite a nice train to catch going across the bridge.
2656 looks pretty new. Paint is still fresh.
The Pusher of the first train for me to see this evening
Traffic didn't pick up until late this evening. Glad to catch what I did.
Previously KCS ATLA??? 90% JB Hunt on this pig
Citgo Siding held this Autorack train while the sun quickly set. It didn't disappear completely... just enough left to get a last minute shot
I had been wanting to grab this shot in Mendenhall for a long time but finding a SB train on this line with the right lighting conditions is rare.
Mr. Brown and Mr. Moak get off 319 to let the night crew take it to Memphis
When I left for Marion to go check out the coal traffic, I left one train sitting here at Kentucky St. When I came back, I was greeted by two more.
Timing is everything. The end of this BNSF pig rounded the corner just as the head end of the UP pig came around.
