With the road crew now aboard, SU-99 will head west for Binghamton under threatening skies. I was treated to a brief burst of sunshine before the train departed.
Some EMD 'yellowjackets' on a local BH-1 do some switching by CP-BD for tommorow's Syracuse run as a NS 31T waits on the D&H runner on the right. Nice to see that rare sun again in Binghamton!
NYS&W #3016 & #3012 roll through Central New York with a train for Binghamton and points east.
WS3 is bringing down a late running SU100 as the train quietly rolls through Hamburg, New Jersey before sunset.
The evening westbound road train is being assembled while the headlight of a local working inthe yard can be seen in the distance.

Road power off SU-100 heads to the fuel track light after dropping its train. The consist is uniquely NYS&W: 3016 (SD40T-2), 3020 (SD40), 3010 (SD40T-2) & 3668 (M636).
With the switching at BOC done NYSW 3016 backs down the tracks torwards the rest of the SU100 so that they can proceed eastbound.
After cutting off from the rest of the SU100 NYSW 3016 goes to switch out BOC so that a local crew doesnt have to later on.
SU-100 holds and CSX passes.
After a very long wait SU99 heads west in afternoon light
In a daylight move the SU99, after completing its uphill battle, prepares to stop to restart both ALCo's on the train.
