Fought the good fight...After decades of life, Guilford Rail System's SD26 615 has reached the end of its line, meeting the scrapper's torch at Waterville, Maine.

Guilford GP-9s 54 and 77 work a cut of cars on the east end of the Waterville, ME yard as the local WA-2 symbol. The train will soon depart for Detroit, ME to service a feed and grain mill.

Guilford's fleet of mini-workhorses, the GP-7 and GP-9s, continue to soldier on. On Feb. 16, idling ST GP9 62 takes a spin on the Waterville, ME turntable.

On Thursday, Oct. 14, the SAPI-3 train between Hinckley and Waterville, Maine, arrived behind a trio of elderly geeps, GP9 72, GP7 15, and GP9 52.

In a snowstorm, 211 leads 406, 354, 334, 330, 214 and 54 cars on the high road.
