CP 5900 leads an eastbound mixed freight about 15 minutes before sunset. Calgary and area got a bit of relief from the cold today as is made apparent by the arch in the distance.

With a classic A-B-A power consist, the Royal Canadian rolls into Calgary at a leisurely speed. There's only 9 or 10 miles left before its passengers disembark at the Palliser Hotel.
CP 8950 leads its train slowly east along the swollen banks of the Bow River. Flooding which began June 20th, caused CP to close its line down between Calgary and Golden for almost 5 days.
