A tropical humid morning greets FEC 226 through Bunnell. Today's 226 had one GEVO and a retro blue GP40-2. Some side views are workable in the summer here.

FEC 210 rolls through afternoon tropical rains at Dorena. The rainy season is in full swing with daily doses of downpours, occasionally thundery.

Steam rises from the rails as 101 blasts through after a tropical shower. The rainy season can bring torrential downpours at any time during the day or night, but mostly in the afternoon.

A Significant Weather Advisory was in force for strong thunderstorms when 101 made it's appearance in Bunnell. Rainfall was 2" per hour and lighting was becoming intense.

An unusually late 109 provides a unique chance to capture this train in morning light, as opposed to darkness when it normally passes.

An early 202 gives a rare opportunity to photograph this train in good light, once a routine thing till schedule changes in 2008.

My husband urgently encouraged me to get to Bunnell for 202, this train usually comes through well after dark. But was early today and my buddy Dave Shelly was at the throttle!

FEC 226 rumbles along US 1 into Bunnell on a sunny morning. The FEC and US 1 are never far from each other from Jax to Miami.

Exceptionally rare daylight 202 in Bunnell gives us the chance to shoot what was a routine shot years ago. Prior to 2008, 202 was a daytime train, these days usually through at night.

Today's 101 had three GEVO's first time it's had three in a while, hustling a lot of autoracks in addition to intermodal south. Sun angles make it a challenge to shoot this train now.

A now rare leader of a a through freight, FEC 711 leads 224 on an unsettled morning in northeast Florida. Once the norm, now exceptionally rare to get EMD's on a thru freight.

In an uncommon move FEC 910 made a trip up to Sunbelt Chemicals at Palm Coast. Usually 910 turns at Harwood about 15 miles south. This motor one of first dynamic brake on the FEC in 1986.
