A former Conrail unit splits the former PRR signals at Portage, PA. The second unit is NS 6900, a SD60E, and the breaks on the rear trucks have locked up.
NS 591, with 57 empty "blacks", comes to a rest in the ex-N&W's Norton Yard. After a quick crew change, the new crew will place these empties in the yard.
