CSXT 5495 and a pair of BNSF C44-9Ws run the gauntlet between two NS trains with a load of ethanol.

NS coal train rolls eastbound through East Chicago while the Arcellor Mittal steel plant and Ameristar Casino looms in the distance.

SP 4449 is all but a blur as she streaks past an abandoned tower in East Chicago. Thanks to the local Chicago railfans that showed us around the IHB for the last minute detour.

IC 1497 continues its run up the lakefront line with a load of coke while the Arcelor Mittal switchers brings a load of coil cars out of the East Chicago Arcelor Mittal mill.

A lone J SD38-2 rounds up a couple dozen empty coke cars along the steel mills of East Chicago and high balls back to Kirk in the late afternoon light.

IHB's Transfer to Burns Harbor rounds the bend ending IHB ownership and beginning its trip down the ex Conrail speedway... The snow really makes this scene pop.
