The 2012 AAPRCO mega train stretched from the lower level overbuild to to Metro NoMa/Florida Ave station once it was completely assembled.

The locomotives that served VRE for most of its first decade are now all retired, including RP39-2C V01 and RP40-2C V21.

The 2012 AAPRCO special is almost ready to depart. Hat's off to the Washington Terminal folks for accommodating this 29 car monster train on a busy Monday morning, ensuring an on time departure.
