The Hill Ore runs "wrong main" up Proctor Hill after a large washout had underminded the northbound main the night before.
The DM&IR's main engine facility at Proctor. The portion of the roundhouse with the black roof was added in the early 1940s to accomidate the Missabe's massive 2-8-8-4 Yellowstones.

Out of 22 rebuilt SD9/SD18s on the former DM&IR, only 308 and 316 remain in service but their days are numbered, along with every other maroon and gold engine.
